Propel Impact Consulting Group is the leading impact and startup consulting organization at the University of Michigan affiliated with the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. At Propel, we believe that business works to serve community. Our members are educated on the intersection between positive business and social impact to work alongside businesses and organizations ranging from local nonprofits and startups to national and multinational corporations. We provide enduring, innovative and effective business solutions and build impactful programs, initiatives, and projects to maximize the impact of our partners and to serve our greater community.
Hello everyone, and welcome!
On behalf of the entirety of Propel Impact Consulting Group, thank you for your time and interest in learning more about our organization and community at the University of Michigan. Propel is one of the University of Michigan’s premier undergraduate consulting clubs, with over 60 diverse members who hail from a variety of backgrounds and majors. As an organization, we are committed to our collective growth. We realize our mission of driving growth and innovation through our distinct focus on social impact and startup consulting in our professional work with clients.
As a community, we are student leaders passionate about positive business and social sustainable impact — passionate about creating real, tangible impact through work that is meaningful and fulfilling. But most of all, we are a family of supportive and tight-knit members committed to growing one another both professionally and personally. Since our founding in 2019, we have made incredible progress as an organization, and this success can be directly attributed to the ambition and dedication of our members.
Since joining my first semester freshman year, Propel has been what makes Michigan feel like my home away from home. My journey from a newbie to project manager to E-Board and President has been the most rewarding experience and I have learned so much from all the invaluable real-world experience and opportunities this community has offered. Most importantly, Propel gave me a group of friends that I cherish deeply, so many memories that I hold dear, and role models that forever inspire me to be the best version of myself.
To our prospective members, I encourage you to take advantage of our recruiting events as an opportunity to learn more about our members and the organization as a whole, and hear about everything and everyone that makes Propel so unique. We are all beyond excited to share our "Why Propel" with you!
