THE NEW MEMBER EXPERIENCE
From membership meetings, new analyst trainings, speaker events, and project team meetings to regular socials, activities and spontaneous get-togethers, Propel is the community you will learn, impact, and grow with while building close relationships with talented, ambitious and fun-loving individuals!
Walk through the weekly Propel events of a first-semester analyst, and never hesitate to reach out for a coffee chat to learn more.
Professional Development
Each week, new analysts attend a new analyst education session to fully prepare them for involvement in their projects and presentations. Propel prides itself on providing each member with experiences and resources to make them equipped to enter the consulting field, with professional development workshops ranging from casing practice, resume / LinkedIn improvements, networking, Excel proficiency, and more!
Project Meetings
Throughout the week, each analyst will meet at least once with their project team, consisting of 3-4 other analysts, their project manager, and project advisor. Individual project work will be completed by each team member prior to meeting so that meetings can be fully collaborative and efficient! Projects last 8-10 weeks over the course of the semester, with a midpoint and final presentation to highlight the team’s work.
Coffee Chats
Propel new members are expected to schedule multiple coffee chats with fellow Propel members and alumni regularly, encouraging them to connect with everyone in the club and practice networking in a business setting. Coffee chats are one of the best ways for Propel members to learn from one another, and demonstrate the tightly-knit community of the group in which each member serves as a mentor for the others.
Social Events
Whether through a club-wide tailgate, karaoke nights, formals, boba runs after general meetings, spontaneous study sessions, club retreats, or holiday events, Propel members find excuses to spend time with one another. The Propel community and its both professional and social mentorship run deep, and integrating our new analysts into our network is one of the highlights of each semester.
